From virtual roots to global impact.
Sunday Dinners began virtually on Zoom in November 2020, creating space for Black men to gather, reflect, and heal during an especially isolating time. Since then, it has brought together participants from around the world — including Argentina, Brazil, Colombia, the United Kingdom, the United States, and beyond.
In March 2022, we began hosting in-person Sunday Dinners quarterly in Toronto, Canada, continuing to offer the same deep connection and community — just face-to-face.
Here’s what attendees have shared:
Black men need this.
It’s a great space to be in.
The most therapeutic experience I’ve had in years.
I met Black men like me — and for once, I felt seen.
The level of psychological safety was unmatched.
It’s open, non-judgmental, and real.
Being vulnerable here helped me grow.
This space helped me realize I’m not alone.
We all handle grief differently. But we shouldn’t do it in silence.
Loneliness is an epidemic. This helped me feel connected again.
You learn to express, to feel, to be your true self.
It’s worth it. It’s fulfilling. It’s necessary.
Whether virtual or in person, Sunday Dinners is a space where Black men are seen, heard, and supported.
We’re ready to bring this model to your community, wherever you are.
